Trains, Planes, and Automobiles
How much time do North Texas commuters spend in gridlock each day? Recent surveys indicate the average commute time is 23 minutes with 15% of commuters spending more than 45 minutes to get to work. Now imagine the traffic scene when the 6 million cars on our roads in 2010 doubles to 12 million in 2050. Transportation needs in Texas will exceed $300 billion in the next two decades, and the Texas Department of Transportation lacks the funds to address the problems. For Dallas to remain competitive with other cities, we must resolve our transportation funding limitations, enhance connectivity, increase mobility and improve air quality. It’s time to get creative! Our panel will discuss the transportation issues vital to our region’s quality of life and economic growth. Thank you to Jones Day for sponsoring this General Membership Meeting. RSVP Now
