Community Catalyst
These success stories illustrate the power of The Real Estate Council’s (TREC) leverage and the catalytic nature of our investments. Our highly successful public/private partnership model combines the pro bono professional services of members with philanthropic dollars and government advocacy efforts to achieve systemic change. We focus on positively effecting the community in four key areas: housing, jobs, education and the environment.
While TREC has made investments over the past 20 years that were latter-stage “additive” investments, our preferred project is one in which we play the role of the front-end risk investor, providing harder-to-achieve seed capital and technical assistance needed to launch projects that go on to have far-reaching influence.
