Who We Are

In 1990, a group of executives who experienced the real estate downturn of the 1980s founded The Real Estate Council with a commitment to making a difference. Today The Real Estate Council is more than 1,300 commercial real estate professionals and 500 member companies working together to strengthen our community and our industry. We are real estate industry veterans connecting with the next generation and hands-on volunteers building relationships, raising funds and giving back. Our professionals—developers, owners, bankers, builders, brokers, lawyers, architects, engineers, appraisers, title and service professionals and more—engage with neighborhoods, the public sector and private funders to achieve systemic change. Together we share a passion for shaping our future through groundbreaking efforts.

The Real Estate Council provides a first-class venue for networking with industry peers and connecting in business. As an organization that is committed to professional development, we open doors by introducing members to the key people and issues in our community and our state through sister organizations have been created in Fort Worth, San Antonio and Austin.
